I spy - the Moon! ☾

William loved the Moon and was fascinated by it's many phases. When he was young, he'd say... "I spy - the Moon!" Sometimes we'd go out to one of the parks, away from the city lights, just so we could lay on a blanket and watch the night sky. We took William to the Adler Planetarium twice and to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum many times. He was very interested in Astronomy. His stargazer charts and astronomy books are in his bedroom and we look at them often.

William took this photo of the Moon the night before his 17th Birthday. The Moon holds special significance - as we now imagine William gazing at the Moon the same time we are. We chose this song because it was one of William's favorite's. He first heard it during the movie Driving Miss Daisy - to be specific - I was expecting William when I first saw the movie at the Theater! He loved the movie and watched it many times with us throughout the years.
